Child Watch

Welcome...

to the Rancho Family YMCA childwatch program!
The purpose of this program is to provide our members' children, ages 8 weeks to 11 years, with a safe environment where they will have fun and learn about the 4 YMCA core values...Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
For the well-being of children, each child is limited to 2 hours per day in the Child Watch facility. Please note that we do not accept children within 20 minutes of closing time.

Ratios

Child Watch observes the following staff-to-child ratios:

  • Infants (8 weeks to 12 months) 1:3
  • Toddlers/Preschool (13 months to 5 years) 1:6
  • Young Children (6-8 years) 1:8
  • Older Children (9-12 years) 1:10

Activities and Outside Play Time

Monthly calendars are posted with our schedule of age-appropriate games, crafts and Character Development activities.
Weather permitting, children will be taken outside to the gated play area. With this in mind, we recommend you apply sunscreen on your child prior to arrival.
